OUR IMPLEMENTATION APPROACH

No two places follow the same path. Rather than applying predetermined solutions,
IISLA adapts its approach to the maturity, capabilities, and aspirations of each place.

  • Begin with existing strengths: We begin with the capabilities, relationships, and assets already present within a place.
  • Strengthen institutions: We support leadership, governance, and local institutions before accelerating programmes or investment.
  • Build collective enterprise: We help develop enterprises that strengthen local economies while building community ownership and resilience.
  • Align participation and capital: We align time, knowledge, stewardship, and capital with the stage and needs of the work.
  • Steward long-term implementation: We remain engaged long enough for trust, capability, and local ownership to take root.
